This guide will show you how to cancel your OpenSports event. Note that when an event is cancelled, attendees are automatically notified, but any refunds must be sent manually.
How to cancel an event
- Navigate to your group Dashboard.
- In the left-hand menu, click on Events; find the event you want to cancel in the list. You can filter events based on Status or Date using the dropdown menus in the top right corner.
- To cancel an event,
- Click on the three-dot menu for the event you want to cancel. Click on Cancel.
OR
- Click on the event name to navigate to the event page. Click on Cancel Event.
- Note that if you want to cancel an event with no attendees, you need to click on Delete (rather than Cancel).
- When cancelling an event, you can provide an optional message to all event attendees about the cancellation.
- Any attendees for a cancelled event will be notified via email or push notification.
