Will other groups steal my players?

No, and here’s why!

A common concern we hear is: “What if another group competes with mine? Will they steal my players?”

To address this, we’ve implemented several features to limit intergroup spam and cross-promotion. These controls are continuously improving to enhance privacy and security.

Front-End Protections

  • Players who join through your invite will only see your group’s events by default under the My Events tab.

  • Group members can be hidden.

  • Attendee lists for public events can be hidden.

  • The local players list has been removed.

  • Four event chat modes are available: Public, Attendees Only, Attendees + Waitlisted Users, and Disabled.

Under group settings, you can hide your group members by selecting the setting “Only administrators can see the member list.”

Back-End Protections

We’ve also introduced backend limits to prevent unwanted contact between groups:

  • Organizers have a quota for interacting with non-group members. If exceeded, further interactions are blocked, and we receive a notification.

  • Event organizers cannot invite large numbers of players outside their group due to internal quotas.

  • Messaging limits prevent excessive outreach to non-group members. If a user reaches the limit, we are notified and can take action.

Additional Tools

  • Embed our event widget on your website to keep player activity within your group.
