Across the Water – ABPA Hosts CCPWW!

It’s that time again! Continuing our “Across the Water” tradition with our friends from Central Coast Pickleball Woy Woy (CCPWW), it’s ABPA’s turn to host this year’s social pickleball get-together. It’s always a fun, friendly day — and we look forward to welcoming them back to Avalon!

Who’s playing:

• 15 × Lower Intermediate players (CCPWW; 8; ABPA: 7)
• 15 × Intermediate & above players (CCPWW: 7; ABPA: 8)

Cost: FREE

Where: Avalon Beach Reserve, Barrenjoey Road
The courts are across from the Fire Station on the western side of Careel Creek. (Check Google Maps for exact location.)

Parking:
Plenty of spots nearby. If you park near the Surf Club on the ocean side of Careel Creek, you can walk around the skate park or cross the bridge further north and wander through the dog park.

The plan:
🕙 10:00 AM – Set up nets
🚌 10:24 AM – CCPWW crew arrives by bus from Palm Beach Ferry Wharf
🏓 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Play, laugh, and enjoy!
🧺 1:00 PM – Pack up (we’ll need a few helpers to give our guests a lift to Palm Beach RSL)
🍽️ 1:15 PM – Lunch at the RSL (at your own expense)
👋 3:10 PM – Wave goodbye as our friends head back to the ferry

ABPA will provide light snacks for morning tea.

Come along for a great morning of pickleball, fun, and friendship — it’s always one of the highlights of the year!
